NDT Technician - Level 2

EMBS Engineering is working in partnership with a leading, innovative precision engineering company in Nuneaton that is showing no signs of slowing down.

Due to further growth and expansion, the business is seeking additional support within their quality department and therefore is in need of a skilled NDT Technician to join the company on a permanent basis.

What experience do you need? 

• Strong background within precision engineering environments such as aerospace, defence, nuclear, marine or Rolls Royce / Siemens markets
• Confident updating quality systems 
• NDT Level 2 PCN in MPI (Magnetic Particle Inspection) and DPI (Dye Penetrant Inspection)
• NAS410 / EN4179 / NADCAP experience 
• Knowledge of different DPI & MPI Techniques
• Experienced inspecting fabricated and / or machined components 
• Special processes experience within coatings and paint 
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
• Ability to to check and inspect / measure components using manual measuring equipment
• Proficient IT skills including MS-Office 
• Understanding of  Six Sigma, 5Ys, 5s, and Continuous Improvement principles

 
Core responsibilities

• Conducting NDT using MPI and DPI processes 
• Ensuring NDT processes are in line with customer requirements and specifications
• Develop and document NDT Techniques with a view to improving and constantly evolve  
• Compile and support related documentation 

Successful candidates will be given the opportunity to further enhance their career and complete Level 3 training in NDT.
