Job Title:             Production Manager 

Salary:                 Up to £57,500 plus benefits

Location:             Manchester, Stockport, Greater Manchester, Cheshire

They are looking for a Production Manager to provide leadership and management of production operatives within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. You will have responsibility for the entire area covering people/personnel, quality, production efficiency and cost.

Production Manager Responsibilities:

• Leadership of 3 production shifts in a 24/5 operation
• To develop a clear vision of the changes required to the production function, communicate that vision clearly, and effectively execute the agreed changes.
• To develop individuals and teams within production to ensure the business develops the leaders of tomorrow.
• Management of production staff –output from resource, staff scheduling, resource management, appraisals etc
• Day-to-day control of production machines and the control of the production area  
• Continuous Improvement– identifying and implementing CI programmes
• Achieve production targets and ensure that the production team make parts to the standards specified by Quality.
• Control of production flow

Production Manager Skills Required:

• Excellent organisational skills
• Experience in a similar role within a fast paced manufacturing environment
• Leadership skills – Able to manage a production team to work together to achieve the outputs and improvements required by the business.
• Be a great team player.
• Excellent communication skills
• Decisive, helpful, accommodating, enthusiastic, conscientious and considerate.
• Demonstrate drive and passion for continuous improvement.
