Elevate your career with a pivotal role as a Mechanical Shift Production Technician, with a competitive salary of £36,700 inclusive of shift allowance. Situated in the industrious heart of Rotherham, this position offers a unique shift pattern designed to balance work and personal life.
WEEK 1 consisting of Tuesday to Thursday 12-hour day shifts, followed by an 8-hour day on Friday.
WEEK 2 - transitions to night shifts from Tuesday to Thursday, each spanning 12 hours.
Role Essentials:
- Report directly to the Team Leader
- Execute maintenance and troubleshooting tasks to ensure smooth production operations
- Responding to, coordinating, and resolving breakdown situations, and the responsibility for carrying out reactive and preventative maintenance
- Adhere to health and safety protocols diligently
- Collaborate with the production team to meet targets and enhance efficiency
- AD/HOC tasks
Skills and Experience:
- Proven experience in a mechanical maintenance role within a production or manufacturing environment
- Basic hydraulic, welding and pipefitting
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems and machinery
- Ability to diagnose and resolve technical issues effectively
- Excellent communication skills to liaise with team members and management
- Commitment to continuous improvement and professional development
Qualifications:
- Recognised Mechanical apprenticeship (BTEC Level 3 or equivalent)
- Additional certifications or training relevant to the role are advantageous
