A family founded and well established food manufacturing business that has had sustainable growth over the years and now has several sites across the UK and Europe.  

The role

As a right hand man to the Engineering Manager you will lead the team of 8 Engineers 2 on each shift,  to help deliver the engineering strategy, ensuring all PPM work is completed, the plant runs efficiently, effectively and safely, at all times and co-ordinating engineering resources across the daily engineering workload to support the Operations Team and deliver site KPI targets.

You will drive the CMMS system to best maximize OEE on site and be able to identify and implement opportunities for efficiency and process improvements.

Shift Pattern

The shift pattern is Monday to Friday, 37.5 hrs per week and the start and finish time are flexible/negotiable.

The Person

You will be able to demonstrate effective leadership and coaching skills and be a firm but fair manager.

You will have completed an engineering apprenticeship & minimum of City and Guilds electrical/ONC/B-TEC (Or equivalent) and have a minimum of 5 years experience in a multi-skilled engineering environment with a Planning BIAS.

You will have a good understanding of engineering compliance requirements, H&S and experience of working with and developing a CMMS and PPM system and have the ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
