I am pleased to present an opportunity for an Asset Surveyor based in the Birmingham area. This position, initially offered on a temporary basis, but with the opportunity to go permanent.

The hourly rate will be between £30.00 - £38.00 through an Umbrella/CIS Company

 Responsibilities:

  • Design, Monitor, evaluate and inspect Estates Asset Register, Drawing Register, Spaces Register and Additional Registers as appropriate
  • Maintain and improve the quality of the Registers, in terms of accuracy and completeness Design the structure of the Registers – including format, platform and choice of fields
  • Implement and manage asset tagging to identify the assets and rooms on the ground
  • Develop Processes and Management Systems for the Registers, so that the Registers remain live and up-to-date and to ensure continuous improvement
  • Drive towards certification for the Registers, e.g. BIM ISO 19650 and Quality Management ISO 9001
  • Develop Processes to ensure the Registers adapt and cater for the onboarding of newly-built schemes, refurbishments and acquisitions as well as disposals
  • Develop wider Process for onboarding of new schemes, to ensure that key tasks are carried out such as the setting up of planned preventative maintenance (PPM) tasks for each asset, the correct person are informed, the correct introductory training is carried out etc.
  • Work with the Estates Document Controller and Director of Estates to assist in the development of Spaces Strategies and Investment Plans, on the basis of the data in the Registers
  • Work with the Estates CAFM Officer to set up PPM tasks for key Estates assets as per SFG20 and ensure the PPMs remain up-to-date
