Our client, a well-established business in the Highways Maintenance industry, is seeking a skilled Highways Maintenance Engineer to join their team. As a Highways Maintenance Engineer, you will play a vital role in the carriageway/footway resurfacing projects, implementing programmes and ensuring the smooth execution of the upcoming pot hole programme. This is a contract position with a competitive daily rate.

• Maintain and repair road surfaces, ensuring they are safe for public use
• Implement carriageway and footway resurfacing programmes
• Conduct inspections and assessments of the highways network
• Identify and report any defects or hazards
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
• Collaborate with the team to develop and deliver maintenance strategies
• Utilize CAD software for design and planning purposes
• Contribute to the development of the pot hole programme

• Significant experience in highways maintenance
• Strong knowledge of carriageway and footway resurfacing techniques
• Understanding of health and safety regulations applicable to highways maintenance
• Proficiency in CAD software for design and planning purposes
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to identify and report defects or hazards
• Flexibility to work on-site as well as utilizing CAD software
• Previous experience in implementing maintenance programmes is desirable
