An opportunity has arisen for an experienced HVAC Engineer in the West Midlands and surrounding region, to work for a Nationwide provider of commercial facilities management and building services.
The position will include carrying out a variety of HVAC installation, maintenance, reactive and PPM works regionally within a variety of sectors covering the UK, providing a professional service and working in accordance to F[1]Gas regulations.
Your typical HVAC Engineer duties will include:
- Ensure that administration requirements are actioned on time and all necessary
- Ensuring statutory site logbooks are continually updated
- Review building plans and specifications in line with regulatory guidelines
- Fault Finding of Air Conditioning & Chiller equipment
- Maintenance and repair of AHU’s and refrigeration units
- Undertaking maintenance, service and repair of AHU’s, ventilation and refrigeration equipment
- Carrying Mechanical/plumbing maintenance in line with the needs of the business/client
- Produce quotations for small project works
- Offering advice and technical support to customers, staff and third parties where required
- Using In-House systems to accept, update and complete tasks via Company provided tablet
- Test, service and repair a wide variety of equipment (VRV, VRF, Split Fridges/Display Units)
- Taking ownership and accountability in seeing tasks though, to ensure they are undertaken efficiently and effectively
- To provide support to team members and provide technical advice when needed
- To carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by your manager/supervisor
- To be aware of the budgetary and commercial implications of the work
These are typical duties however the post holder will be expected to become involved in a range of work within the company as the needs of the business grow.
Experience & qualifications required for this role include:
Previous HVAC reactive maintenance and installation experience
City & Guilds or NVQ Level 2 qualification as a minimum
City & Guilds 2079 (F-Gas)
F-Gas qualified
IPAF
Asbestos Awareness
Driving Licence (Full UK)
Additional details:
Salary - Up to £17.24 per hour (negotiable depending on experience)
Company van provided with private use
Paid travel time (door to door)
Contract details - Full time, permanent position (40 hours per week with overtime opportunities available)
Permanent position
Would need to be flexible with working away when required (Mon-Fri) and could be for a maximum of 4 nights a week. Could be anywhere in the UK to meet client demands.
No on call requirements.
