Are you a Mechanical Engineer looking for your next role? My client is a global leading company that operate on highly regulated & sensitive industrial sites within the nuclear sector. This position involves working on live and upcoming projects, where your experience will be crucial in ensuring the successful delivery of high-quality engineering services in the nuclear and technology-oriented markets. This role is a permanent staff role with a requirement to be in the office once per month.

Key Responsibilities: Mechanical Engineer

- Develop designs to meet technical specifications and requirements.

- Prepare, check, or approve supporting design calculations and reports.

- Play a pivotal role in design management.

- Contribute to design and safety reviews (Risk Assessments & HAZOP's).

- Produce technical specifications in collaboration with clients and project teams.

- Deliver project deliverables on schedule and within budget.

- Prepare installation, commissioning, and operating documents.

- Manage project scope, including planning and allocation of work packages.

- Supervise multidisciplinary teams and subcontractors.

- Ensure compliance with safety regulations and internal procedures.

- Act as a key point of contact between engineering teams, Nominated Engineers, and project management.

Key Requirements: Mechanical Engineer

- Recognised engineering qualification (HNC/HND/Degree).

- Experience in design within a highly regulated industry.

- Experience across multiple design phases and project delivery stages.

- Leadership experience in managing medium-sized design teams (dependent on role level)

- Proven track record of successfully delivering design solutions.

- Good understanding of statutory and safety regulations.

- Expertise in the nuclear industry (preferable but not essential)

- Inspection, installation, commissioning experience.

- Proficiency in Inventor & AutoCAD or general 3D design.
