Engineering Estimator urgently required to work for a specialist manufacturing organisation based in Maidenhead. You will be working for a company who cover a wide range of industries including Oil & Gas, Motorsport, Aerospace, Defence, Food and Pharma.

We are looking for an experienced estimator who has proven history within the sheet metal, fabrication and manufacturing, sectors focussing on technical estimating or someone who has great experience in CAD design or machining who is looking to move off the shop floor and develop their skills in estimating environment.

Responsibilities:

• Create detailed quotations from customer drawings/models for both existing and new customers.
• Maintain great relationships with existing customers and develop relationships with new customers.
• Respond to sales calls.
• Convert quotes to orders on the system and get feedback on unsuccessful quotes.
• Keep the customer up to date about order progress.
• Support the Sales Manager in growing the business.

Experience/ Requirements:

• Previous similar experience in manufacturing environment (desirable)
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Ideally some sort of quoting software or CAD experience.
• Knowledge of laser cutting and sheet metal work (desirable)
• Great communication, inter-personal and attention to details skills.
• Good computer literacy skills.
• Good at working under pressure.
