Quality Engineer

We need a Quality Engineer, Location: * Sandwich, Kent Salary £38,000 to £42,500.
You will join a rapidly evolving company that supplies the defence and aerospace sector with precision engineering and ensures cutting-edge defence equipment.
The role involves Monitoring, planning, and enhancing business processes to increase production output and product quality. You will introduce new procedures, determine quality standards, drive continuous improvements, and resolve issues. You will collaborate with teams to embed lean methodologies and challenge processes, equipment, and people for improved capability, reliability, and cost-efficiency.
**Responsibilities:**
- Introduce new processes and procedures.
- Determine quality standards and drive continuous improvements.
- Resolve quality issues using problem-solving techniques.
- Create acceptance test procedures.
- Inspect materials, equipment, processes, and products.
- Develop quality control systems.
- Maintain the calibration system.
- Conduct internal audits and determine corrective actions.
**Security:**
Candidates must be eligible to obtain SC level security clearance.

**Skills & Abilities:**
- Proficient in problem-solving and root cause analysis techniques
- Ability to monitor production processes and identify potential problems
- Experience with First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to perform internal audits and maintain calibration systems
