Location: Bedford 

Salary: Up to £53,525 depending on experience 

Hours: 40 hours per week (Days)


Job Purpose:
As a Battery Test Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in our cutting-edge Battery department, conducting various tests to ensure performance, safety, and durability of batteries. You'll work within a dynamic team, contributing to the development of processes and facilities while adhering to international standards and customer specifications. Responsibilities:
  • Liaise with customers to understand testing requirements and ensure tests are executed, documented, and reported accurately and timely.
  • Establish test content and prepare internal test execution documentation.
  • Adhere to Health and Safety and quality procedures, including development of Risk Assessments.
  • Analyze test results and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
  • Work in accordance with ISO 17025 and behavioural standards.

Qualifications:
  • Degree or equivalent in technical/electrical disciplines.
 
Experience:
  • Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in lab or workshop environments.
  • Experience with electric vehicles, HV systems, and CAN desirable.
  • Familiarity with international standards and quality assurance beneficial.
 
Skills:
  • Practical understanding of electrical principles and battery fundamentals.
  • Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
  • Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to convey work instructions and outcomes effectively.
