Battery Test Engineer

Salary: Up to £53,525 depending on experience
Hours: 40 hours per week (Days)
Job Purpose:
As a Battery Test Engineer, you'll play a pivotal role in our cutting-edge Battery department, conducting various tests to ensure performance, safety, and durability of batteries. You'll work within a dynamic team, contributing to the development of processes and facilities while adhering to international standards and customer specifications. - Liaise with customers to understand testing requirements and ensure tests are executed, documented, and reported accurately and timely.
- Establish test content and prepare internal test execution documentation.
- Adhere to Health and Safety and quality procedures, including development of Risk Assessments.
- Analyze test results and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Work in accordance with ISO 17025 and behavioural standards.
Qualifications:
- Degree or equivalent in technical/electrical disciplines.
Experience:
- Minimum of 2 years hands-on experience in lab or workshop environments.
- Experience with electric vehicles, HV systems, and CAN desirable.
- Familiarity with international standards and quality assurance beneficial.
Skills:
- Practical understanding of electrical principles and battery fundamentals.
- Proficiency in data analysis, interpretation, and presentation.
- Strong organisational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to convey work instructions and outcomes effectively.
