The leading UK nuclear and defence project is looking to add an EC&I engineering manager to their ranks to ensure the steady progress on some of the largest projects in the industry.

• Job role - Engineering Manager EC&I
• Location - Reading
• Contract Length - 18 months
• Pay rate - £63.29 per hour (INSIDE IR35)

The ideal candidate for this role would be an engineering manager that is coming from the EC&I biased background and has vast knowledge and experience in the nuclear/defence sectors.

Minimum requirement:

• To ensure that the Engineering Requirements are suitable & appropriate and advise the Senior Engineering Manager.
• To be the lead engineering representative on the project. Responsible for delivery in terms of quality, meeting requirements, safety, value for money and schedule. Be the main point of contact for all engineering matters on a project.
• Assessing the suitability of engineering design resources to execute facility design. Ensure adequate competency and competency records.
• Maintaining oversight of the facility design as it develops via routine reviews.
• To deliver, to the SEM, design solutions that meet business needs, functional performance, through life performance and is licensable and deliverable.
• To assist the Head of Design Engineering in developing the Facility Design capability within the client, encompassing both Improvements and Resource skills development.

Essential:

• EC&I engineering background.
• Multidiscipline experience would be beneficial
• Strong stakeholder management skills at all levels.
• Experience within a highly regulated industry.
• Ability to capture engineering requirements and produce technical documentation and specifications.
