A Senior Geotechnical Engineer position has come available in Yorkshire for a specialised international ground engineering design consultancy offering a diverse and exciting project portfolio including D&B for the likes of rail, highways, water, buildings, nuclear, bridges etc.

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be joining a well-established design team consisting of both Civil Geotechnical and Engineering Geologists helping to deliver complex design commissions from feasibility through to detailed design and build (in some cases).

Coming in as a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will be expected to turn your hand to almost all aspects of detailed design for civil infrastructure projects UK based and oversees. You will also be getting involved in all aspects of project management, financial control and commercial liaison.

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you should be able to demonstrate:

• 1st degree in Civil Engineering with a relative MSc in Geotechnics or Soil Mechanics.
• Chartered with ICE or CGeol
• Demonstrable experience of geotechnical design together with a familiarity of design submission documentation. This includes a demonstrable understanding of the underlying principles and a knowledge of Eurocode 7
• Ability to use a range of geotechnical software/FE for the design of civil engineering projects including the following: all foundations, retaining walls, piles, slopes, embankments, temporary works etc.
• Design and build experience is beneficial.
• Full UK driving licence
