Technical Application Engineer
Building Envelope - SFS / Drywall
Salary to £65,000 + bonus + car or car allowance

Great opportunity to join a National Group with ambitious expansion plans and substantial investment, where your role will involve providing technical expertise to support various facets of the organisation, particularly in the pursuit of new business.

About the Technical Application Engineer role:

• Covering the major conurbations of the North East and North West of England, you will be working extensively with Sub-contractors, Main Contractors (and occasionally Architects), providing specialist SFS and Drylining
• Building and maintaining relationships and providing a good technical advice to clients and potential clients
• Ensuring you keep in touch with news and trends within the industry and your competitors
• Having an input in the development, creation, management, storage and control of critical project design data
• Taking responsibility for pricing policy, driving added value for the business line
• Managing contract negotiations from initial enquiry through quotation and order
• Supporting marketing of technical data through website content, brochures, seminars, trade shows etc

About you:

• Proven experience in drylining and/or SFS
• Good technical understanding of SFS and drylining systems
• Relevant exposure to specification management
• Proven analytical skills and able to solve technical problems
• Able to build and maintain lasting working relationships with customers and suppliers
• Previous experience in creating and developing technical specifications and documentation, able to read, understand and interpret architectural and engineering drawings
• Proven ability to work under pressure with to tight deadlines, working largely unsupervised
