WORKSHOP MACHINIST ASSEMBLER
The successful candidate will have worked in an engineering environment, with preference to marine with hands-on experience in manual machining/lathes and fitting.
Workshop Machinist: Main Duties & Responsibilities:
- Experience with manual CNC machining and lathe work.
- Mechanical Fitting
- Assembling of components according to internal processes (will be taught within the role)
- Balancing of rotors
- Resourceful mechanical engineering skills
- Traceability and process improvement management
The following skills are required.
- Attention to detail.
- Strong problem-solving skills & Excellent communication skills
- Ability to read technical engineering drawings and specifications.
- Able to multitask and work under pressure to deliver to deadlines.
- Self-inspection on machined parts
- CNC Manual Machining
- Lathe Work
- Mechanical Fitting
