Alexander James Recruiting is currently working with a leading material handling manufacturer who are looking to recruit a new field based forklift service engineer to service their client base around Kent. Responsibilities

· Servicing a client base across Kent

· Servicing forklift trucks & other material handling equipment

· Fixing other equipment to include plant hire

· Carrying out diagnostics on all equipment

· Reporting to the Service Manager regarding any issues

· Ensuring excellent customer service and representing the company in the right way when servicing & repairing forklifts & other equipment

Requirements

The company have a preference for an individual from a forklift truck background but this is not essential. The company is open to considering candidates from other backgrounds including plant, powered access, automotive/commercial vehicles, cranes or other related sectors provided you have a technical NVQ or equivalent. You will be able to work well on your own with your own initiative and have good customer facing skills. Ultimately, the company are after an individual with the right attitude and work ethic. In terms of location, you can be based anywhere in Kent.
