We’re looking for a Production Planner to play a vital role in the efficient coordination of manufacturing processes within a leading manufacturer of high-performance components at their site based in Bredbury, Stockport.

Operating behind the scenes, you'll be instrumental in ensuring the smooth flow of production, from developing optimised manufacturing methods to facilitating the availability of materials and kits for assembly.

• Monday – Friday 8:00am – 4:30pm (early finish on Fridays)

What will you be doing as a Production Planner?

• Creating route cards to optimise manufacturing methods, coordinating with the programming department
• Issuing documentation to the shop floor promptly via work lists
• Collaborating with Stores/Goods Inwards to ensure availability of materials and kits for manufacturing and assembly
• Managing rework operations resulting from NCRs, adjusting route sheets as necessary
• Participating in Pre-production Meetings to determine optimal manufacturing methods
• Assisting the Production Scheduler in effectively loading each work centre
• Offering guidance to the Sales Department for accurate cost and lead time quotations

What do you need?

• Previous experience in a relevant role
• Previous experience in scheduling CNC machining operations
• Proficiency in IT systems
