The basics:
Job Title: Maintenance Engineer (Both mechanical and electrical engineers considered as training can be provided)
Shift: Days Only
Location: Corby
Industry: Manufacturing
Pay: £40,000 + call out paid at £40 per call out and at 1.5 overtime rates (call out on a rota basis and shared) earning of £44,000 and upwards achievable
Overview:
Working in a first-class, modern, purpose-built manufacturing facility; we now require a Maintenance Engineer to join the team. Both mechanical and electrical engineers considered.
Key responsibilities of the Maintenance Engineer role:
- To maintain service and repair all automated plant machinery to minimise production down time.
- Provide technical support on all projects, installations and breakdowns
- PPM's
The ideal candidate / Maintenance Engineer may have some of the following, however, please note these are only desirable and not essential as all applications will be looked at individually:
- Time served apprentice trained or above
- Previous experience working in a maintenance focused role within a manufacturing/production environment or similar
- An electrical understanding changing like for like parts and basic fault finding. Most of the faults are predominantly mechanical, however electrical skills can utilised if you are electrically biased.
