Prince are working with a well-established, successful business in Wolverhampton who are looking for a Certification Engineer to join their Engineering team.

As the Certification Engineer you will be responsible for ensuring all products comply with certification, regulation, and customer standards. Day to day you will be conducting checks and inspections on products during the manufacturing process to ensure they meet regulations and certification standards such as fire, weight, and load bearing requirements. You will be working closely with internal departments during this certification process, as well and liaising directly with customers and external certification and regulation bodies.

The Certification Engineer will be responsible for, but not limited to:

• Oversee and manage the certification process for all products to ensure compliance with necessary regulations, standards, and customer requirements
• Conduct product testing and validation checks on products throughout the manufacturing process to ensure compliance
• Prepare and submit certification and compliance reports to external agencies and stake holders
• Liaise with customers on specific regulatory and certification requirements and provide project updates
• Keep up to date with relevant regulatory and certification changes and ensure internal process adhere to new standards
• Ensure all relevant internal regulation and certification documentation is up to date and maintained
• Work with internal departments on product development and processes to identify areas of risk or possible improvement

Skills and Experience

• Must have experience within a similar role
• Strong knowledge of relevant industry regulations and standards (fire, weight, load bearing requirements)
• Proven project management skills and strong organisational abilities
• Good communication skills
• This role would suit someone who has previously worked as a Certification Engineer / Compliance Engineer / Quality Compliance Engineer / Certification & Compliance Engineer
