My client is a leading manufacturer of custom-made steel door solutions in the Newcastle under Lyme area. They are looking for a CNC Punch / Fold Operator to join them ASAP on a permanent basis.

The successful candidate will be responsible for configuring and operating Punch press to cut, shape and form metal used in production of doors via performing cutting, blending and punching and forming actions, based upon CAD designs.

This is a truly exciting time to join a market leading organisation with aggressive growth plans who are relocating to a brand new site in April 2024 in Newcastle-under-Lyme.

You will be responsible for:

• Making correct set-ups for Punch machine operations
• Operating a Panel Bender/loading programs/checking corrections
• Maintain tooling
• Selecting punch programs
• Positioning and removing parts from the die
• Performing dimensional inspections
• Performing routine Operator maintenance
• Achieving / exceeding set production targets / KPIs
• Detecting and reporting defective materials or questionable conditions to Management.

You will have:

• Minimum 3 years of CNC Punch and/or fold operating experience
• Metal door manufacturing experience (desirable)
• Previous training and awareness in safety, electrostatic discharge awareness and awareness of foreign object damage
• Quality system awareness
• Ability to use basic Maths to calculate requirements
• Ability to understand and interpret technical drawings from CAD
• Ability to meticulously follow SOP
