Senior Temporary Works Engineer (Excavations)
Due to a number of exciting high profile contract wins working on some truly pinnacle developments across the uk, we are now looking to expand our Temporary Works design team !
This role/s are pivotal hire/s for Conquip Engineering Group, the successful candidate/s will further compliment & enhance our industry renowned and growing team within the scope of temporary works design.

** Design Experience within the scope of Basement Propping and/or Excavations is vital for this role **
Main Purpose of the Role
Responsible for the successful and efficient completion of major projects carried out by Conquip Engineering Group.
Roles and Responsibilities
· Lead a design team, applying your knowledge to mentor and guide other members.
· Coordinate internal teams and subcontractors to meet project deadlines.
· Design and check temporary works schemes, complying with company procedures and CDM 2015.
· Take ownership of designs from conception to installation and offer support on site.
· Collaborate with clients to develop efficient sequencing and value-engineered solutions.
· Create methods statements and risk assessments for site installation work.
· Ensure all health and safety regulations are observed.
Experience Required
· Construction project experience and methods of construction.
· Design of propped excavations, cofferdams, working platforms, and slopes (Minimum 5 years).
· Understanding of different methods of excavation support.
· Analysis and design of geotechnical structures to current Eurocodes and industry guidance.
· Design of bolted and cast in connections.
· Interpreting Soils Investigation reports and selecting soil parameters.
· Project management.
· Managing teams and customer expectations.
· Reading and working with plans/drawings.
· Knowledge of CAD & IT systems. Ability to sketch/draw preliminary and detailed designs.
Other Experience (beneficial):
· Design of thrust blocks, mass gravity walls.
· Design of piles, piled walls, sheet piles, king post walls, plunge columns, and corbels.
· Design and detailing of Temporary Reinforced Concrete and Steel structures to relevant codes.
· Understanding of Temporary Works with BS 5975.
· CSCS, SSSTS / SMSTS, and TWCTC.
Basic Skills Required
· Possess a valid driver's licence.
· Work well as part of a team.
· Have excellent planning and organisational skills.
· Possess strong analytical abilities.
