Job Summary
As part of Design Development Team, your role will be to undertake the progression of our tendered Electronic Security System designs including Access Control, Video Surveillance Cameras, Intruder Alarms etc. from contract award to construction for our clients, leading to a seamless hand-over to day 2 support.
Your day-to-day duties will involve working alongside the Project Delivery Team in the detailed design of the Electronic Security System element of our projects.
This will be a hands-on role that will require good communication skills to develop the design with the client & consultant teams with the goal of achieving a signed off design for construction.
Key Requirements:
Essential:
· The ability to design Electronic Security Systems for multiple markets including; commercial/enterprise, residential, financial, educational and industrial workspace
· Team player with excellent inter-personal and communication skills, both written and verbal
· Self-motivated and proactive, able to work on own initiative
Knowledge:
· Knowledge and awareness across the breadth of smart building technologies including; ICT Cabling, Networking, Audio Visual and IoT Systems.
· Fully conversant with the design and estimation of Electronic Security solutions including but not limited to Video Surveillance Cameras, Access Control, Intruder Detection, Perimeter Detection, Intercom, Networking, Cabling infrastructure, their application and integration
· Previous experience in the design of key Electronic Security vendor solutions such as Genetec, Axis, Lenel, Gallagher, Avigilon, Milestone, CCURE, CEM, Honeywell, Zenitel, Commend etc.
· Awareness of Building Information Modelling (BIM)
Skills:
· Proven track record in project delivery and/or pre-sales design in a similar industry and/or market sectors in which we operate
· Strong commercial awareness and understanding of bid analysis, financial breakdown and presentation of numbers
· Understanding of technical risks in client/consultant specification documentation.
· IT literate, proficient with MS Office suite, Word, Excel etc.
· Excellent time management and organisational skills with high attention to detail
· Good customer care skills
Qualifications:
Accreditations with recognised manufacturers or memberships of relevant bodies in the Electronic Security System market an advantage.
Experience:
Minimum 5 years’ experience within the security design implementation
