Commissioning Engineer

Salary - £42,000 (plus overtime and company van)

We are recruiting for our client who is a leading manufacturer of air handling units, who are seeking a commissioning engineer. This is due to their continued growth within the UK.

As a Commissioning Technician you will work within a team of committed and multi-disciplined Refrigeration/Electrical/Control Engineers responsible for the testing and commissioning of various AHU Installations. This role is predominately site based and will require overnight stays away from home.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Wiring of AHU Control Panel and Other AHU Control Components

• Working with 3 Phase Motors and other appliances within HVAC Units

• Wiring and Fixing of Actuator Motors and Various other Sensors and Switches

• Fault Finding of AHU Control Systems

• Carrying out Pre-Commissioning Electrical Checks

• Fault finding and diagnosis, followed by corrective actions

• Completing of testing procedures in an accurate and timely fashion

Qualifications/Experience required

• Previous controls and commissioning experience (essential)

• Fault finding and fix experience (essential)

• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics

• Experience of working on refrigeration AC systems

• A good understanding of HVAC Control Systems and Air Handling Units

• Good communication skills as the duties will include liaising with internal departments and site personnel

• Must have the ability to work on their own initiative with minimum supervision, prioritise workload and the skills to be a good team player

• Flexible, hands-on approach to working within a project team or individually

• Full UK Driving Licence as company van will be provided

• CSCS/Skills Card Required
