Electrician / Approved Electrician

Midlands Based

£17.22 per hour / £18.84 per hour (overtime after 40 hours)

Paid Travel up to 1.5 hours / Van provided

Reed Specialist Recruitment is recruiting on behalf of a client for the position of Electrician / Approved Electrician. This is a permanent job paying an enhanced rate above JIB rates. The job includes benefits such as paid travel and fully paid accommodation for journeys over 90 minutes. You will be working on sites in and across the Midlands.

Key Responsibilities:

• Installing industrial electrical equipment to the standards required by the technical specification of a given project.
• Participation in daily briefings, point of work risk assessments, and safe isolation procedures.
• Ensuring that quality and safety issues are reported to your supervisor and/or raised as near misses as appropriate.
• Delivering an exceptional service to our clients and liaising with client's key personnel in a professional manner to promote the interests of the business.

Required Skills and Competencies:

• Full Clean UK Driving License (Those with endorsements will be considered).
• 2 or more years of experience as a Time Served Electrician with a relevant Electrotechnical Apprenticeship or Degree level qualification relating to Industrial or Commercial Electrical Installation.
• Industrial/Commercial Installation Experience.
• 2394/95/91 Electrical Test and Inspection (For Approved Only).
• JIB Gold Card, ECS or Similar CSCS Affiliated Card.
• Experience in the Water Industry / Substation / Oil and Gas would be beneficial.

Desirable qualifications include:

• 18th Edition Amendment 2 (This can be provided to the right candidate)
• EUSR Clean Water Card
• EUSR SHEA Gas Card.
• POSWASH.
