£24,000 - £26,000/annum
Quality Technician required to join a well-established engineering company in Kent. The Quality Engineer will use their quality and engineering skills for testing materials, components and the companies’ finished products. Working closely with the quality engineers and inspection team.

The Quality Technician will ideally come from an engineering background or have experience in manufacturing, quality inspection, metrology and CMM. Must be living in Kent.

Duties in the Quality Engineer / Quality Technician Role
  • Co-ordinate the re-calibration of production measuring instruments ensuring they are re-calibrated to the schedule and maintain the master document for this function.
  • Support investigation and documentation of shop floor quality issues and concerns.
  • Use various mechanical inspection tools such as micrometres, calipers, and CMM.
  • Reporting to the Quality Manager
  • Working to ISO9001 and AS9100.
  • Ensure reports or First Article Inspection (FIA) packages are completed and filed correctly.
  • Collecting and evaluating quality data and initiating corrective and preventive actions
  • Monitor calibration systems and ensure all equipment is correct.
  • Resolve issues through root cause analysis techniques.
  • Liaise with customer representatives with respect to physical checks and inspections (in line with customer order and documentation requirements)
  • Liaise with various engineering departments. 
Requirements for the Quality Engineer / Quality Technician role
  • Proven experience as a Quality Engineer, Quality Technician, or similar
  • HNC/HND/NVQ or degree in an engineering discipline
  • Interpret engineering drawings and confirm accuracies with correct equipment.
  • Living and commutable in Kent.
