Alecto Recruitment is working with a market leader in the Anaerobic Digestion sector who is looking for a Project Manager because of expansion on their AD portfolio.

Profile:
The project manager will be able to:
* Lead a project team of Project Engineers, support staff and contract Construction Supervisors. Mentoring, training and supporting them during delivery, being hands on where/if needed.
* Manage a portfolio of projects, executing the delivery with multiple contractors.
* Build a project team from existing resources as well as recruiting additional resources where required to execute multiple projects.
* Show autonomy and urgency in delivering projects in a cost optimal manner. Making sure stakeholders are consulted/ informed correctly of issues/ progress throughout the project.
* Show effective communication and management of project expectations & progress to project sponsors, team members, and other external/internal key stakeholders through various mediums
* Develop a list of design deliverables; plan and budget for their delivery. Monitor and track their delivery during the detailed design phase.
* Work with the legal team to develop and negotiate key construction contracts. Experience with IChemE, NEC and/or JCT construction contract forms is an essential requirement for this role.
* Manage contractors to develop, define and execute project plans, project scope, activities, schedules, budgets and deliverables.

Experience and Qualifications:
* The Project Manager will likely have 10+ years of construction project management experience from a main contractor or consultant back ground.
* Ideally they will have worked on the development of AD plant previously; alternatively they will be able to demonstrate transferable skills from similar industries such as manufacturing, process engineering, utilities or nuclear utilities.
* Relevant engineering discipline (e.g. Mechanical, Civil, Chemical or Process Engineering) and will likely have Chartered Engineer status.
* They will be competent in MS Office programmes and will have a high level of competency in MS Project / Primavera in the development of Gantt charts. Preferably they will be able to use AutoCAD for viewing engineer drawings.
* They will have experience in setting up and managing Engineering Construction contracts in one or more of the common forms i.e. IChemE, NEC or JCT.
