COMPANY DESCRIPTION, PROFILE AND SCOPE OF ROLE

Our client is a world class, award winning, long established and growing manufacturing business, with strong and sustained investment in people, capital and plant. Due to continued growth, they are recruiting an electrically Biased Maintenance Technician. The successful candidate will work as part of an established team, maintaining all plant & equipment and helping to ensure that Health, Safety, Quality, Environmental, Energy and Production requirements are met. This is an exciting opportunity and applications will be welcome from either experienced  maintenance technicians, or less experienced candidates looking to develop their skills and experience.

KEY DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensuring maximum equipment efficiency / running time
  • Undertaking planned preventative & reactive maintenance of electrical equipment, facilities and plant
  • Contributing to maintenance system continuous improvements and associated projects in line with best practice and good housekeeping / 5S standards
  • Carrying  out operation of machines and associated housekeeping when necessary

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES

ESSENTIAL:

  • Qualified to a minimum of ONC Level or similar in Engineering - Time served/apprenticed)
  • Electrical maintenance experience
  • Ability to work unsupervised under own initiative / Able to work effectively to deadlines /  Self-motivated and enthusiastic / Available for overtime as required for the needs of the business / IT literate / Competent with All Microsoft software.

DESIRABLE / NOT ESSENTIAL:

  • HND/HNC would be advantageous, but not essential
  • Electrical maintenance experience / 17th or 18th Edition / PLC hardware maintenance and software fault finding / Maintenance Experience gained on  robotic
  • Preventative Maintenance Systems / 5S, Kaizan and Lean Manufacturing Techniques / Standard Operations

Details of Package:

Circa £44,000 PA (Inc. Shift allowance) + Overtime + Competitive Benefits including healthcare, Above average paid holiday entitlement + strong employer pension contributions

Three shift System: Earlies: 0600 to 1430 Monday to Thursday / 0600 to 1100 Friday / Lates: 1430 to 2300 Monday to Thursday / 1100 to 1600 Friday / Nights: 2045 to 0615 Sunday / 2245 to 0615 Monday to Thursday
