Legacy Strategies are looking for a Senior Project Manager on behalf of our Tier 1 client to oversee and ensure the exceptional performance of specific project packages. 

Full Time | Permanent

As Senior Project Manager, you will be leading a multidisciplinary team, understanding and delivering on project objectives, KPIs, and ensuring smooth coordination across all project phases. The successful candidate will provide management and leadership to the project team, acting as a client-facing figure and spearheading the project delivery strategy.

Key Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with and support the senior management team in strategising and executing a significant segment of the project.
  • Ensure seamless coordination across construction, design, procurement, and commercial teams, facilitating timely progress in line with the work schedule.
  • Manage project timelines and budgets, identifying and addressing potential risks and challenges.
  • Regularly update and adapt project plans to reflect changing needs and maintain relevancy.
  • Ensure client requirements are fulfilled with timely delivery of all necessary quality, assurance, and compliance documentation.
  • Lead project delivery to meet or exceed stakeholder expectations, enhancing communication across all teams involved.
  • Promote continuous improvement by learning from on-site experiences and maintaining thorough daily documentation.
  • Assist the construction team by providing expertise in technical and engineering aspects, ensuring high-quality output and compliance.
  • Advocate for best practices, safety management, and innovative safety initiatives, fostering a safe work environment.
  • Liaise with internal and external stakeholders, ensuring project requirements are integrated effectively.
  • Develop and mentor a high-performance team dedicated to quality, safety, and efficiency.
  • Oversee procurement processes and manage overall client interactions and relationships.
  • Produce detailed reports on project progress, budgeting, and issue resolution.

Qualifications, Certifications & Experience

  • Professional certification (MCIOB/MAPM/MRICS/MICE or equivalent).
  • Proven success in the construction delivery phase of projects.
  • Tertiary education in a relevant field or equivalent experience, supported by role-specific knowledge.
  • CSCS Card (Managerial), with SMSTS.

Technical Competencies

  • Demonstrated experience in managing projects of varying sizes, with a strong ability to oversee budgets.
  • Proficiency in coordinating activities, collaborating with stakeholders, and understanding of project management methodologies.
  • Skilled in problem-solving and analytical thinking, with expertise in contracts administration, procurement, and financial controls.

Industry Competencies

  • Extensive project management experience within the Civil Engineering/Rail industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.

  • Effective leadership with a focus on mentoring and development.
  • Adaptability to changing priorities with a commitment to innovation and technology.
  • Ethical, responsible, and inclusive conduct with excellent interpersonal skills.
