Contract length: 6 Months possible extension 

Randstad Sourceright, a leading provider of RPO & MSP Recruitment Services are currently recruiting for a Spares Engineer on behalf of a well known business that specialises in Engineering, Rail, Healthcare and Energy 

Job Purpose

This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual with a strong engineering background, capable of interpreting technical drawings and specifications to ensure the accurate supply of spares. Experience in the aerospace industry would be advantageous but is not essential. The successful candidate will work collaboratively within a diverse team environment to achieve project objectives and deliver high-quality service to customers.

Job Role

  • Carry out data analysis from the manpower planning tool, I&C planning and regional FS assignments not in the manpower planning tool through direct contact with the region. 

  • Working with the service training and development officer measure competence gap between completed and required development activity and identify training opportunities to close the gap

  • Create and maintain good relationship with project managers to ensure best opportunities are available for development of FSE's

  • Understand requirements for mobilisation relevant to the trainee to ensure that mobilisation is planned and delivered

  • Set expectations with trainee and on-site assessor to ensure success against development activities targeted per mobilisation. Activate and deactivate OJT on site witnesses in the competence management system

  • Maintain regular contact with trainees during assignment to ensure that mobilisations for development are efficient

  • Compile evidence of development task completion with training and development officer for input to roundtable by gathering data from assignments, assessor reports and track KPI's for progress against gap


 

To be considered for the Spares engineer role you must have the following skills and experience

  • Engineering background/competencies

  • Qualifications not essential but exposure to reading drawings and working on machines

  • Creating a recommended spares list of activities for customers and level of service

  • Interpreting drawings

  • Ensuring correct spares are specified and supplied

  • Reading specifications

  • Interpreting SAP system
