About the role:
Astute's Renewables team is partnering exclusively with a key business and influential player in the UK Anaerobic Digestion market. The main purpose of this role is to be accountable for the site and that it conforms to all regulation and compliance required, whilst optimising biogas yield.

This Site Manager / Plant Manager role comes with a salary of up to £70,000 with a comprehensive package.

Responsibilities and duties:
Reporting to the Regional Manager you will:
  • Have full accountability for the site, its compliance, profitability and managing all operational aspects on a daily basis
  • Managing a team of operations and maintenance staff to run the plant effectively
  • Establish a continuous improvement environment, always striving for more
  • Working to high levels of compliance and ensuring adherence to PAS110, ISO, ABPR and other regulatory bodies/programmes
  • Encourage an excellent H&S culture across the site
  • Manage the feedstock process on site
  • Always aim to minimise downtime on the plant and strive for 100% efficiency
  • Ensure the smooth running and operation of the plant, including the biology, the PPM schedule and SCADA operations
  • Ensure that OFGEM information is managed and available for data collection department
  • Hold regular meetings with staff to ensure quality and standards are high and to pick up and troubleshoot any questions or issues very quickly
  • Other duties as required and full job spec available on request



Professional qualifications:
We are looking for someone with the following:
  • A higher education in a relevant engineering discipline is preferable
  • WAMITAB L4 in Anaerobic Digestion
  • UK driving licence
  • Experience in Anaerobic Digestion and if not, a very similar process



Personal skills:
The Field Construction Supervisor role would suit someone who is:
  • A problem-solver and self-starter
  • Excellent verbal and written English language
  • A flexible person who can travel
