An exciting opportunity for a Design Engineer to provide technical capability for the design and development of new and existing products. , From concept to volume manufacturing in accordance with legislation and internal procedures, Including generation of product life cycle documentation. To develop usability engineering files for new product developments.

Description

As the Design Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • To provide technical capability for the design and development of new and existing products, from concept to volume manufacturing in accordance with legislation and internal procedures, Including generation of product life cycle documentation.
  • To develop usability engineering files for new product developments.
  • Work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to achieve project objectives.
  • Utilise technical knowledge to improve existing products and processes.
  • Ensure all designs adhere to industry standards and regulations.
  • Perform detailed analysis to identify potential design improvements.
  • Present design concepts and technical information to stakeholders.
  • Verification and validation of components and assemblies.
  • Modification/amendment of new/existing drawings in accordance with design standards.

Profile

A successful Design Engineer should have:

  • Degree qualified in an Engineering discipline.
  • Demonstrable design experience in a similar role within highly regulated manufacturing such Automotive, Aerospace, Defence or Medical Devices.
  • Excellent technical abilities, including solidworks.
  • Experience of working with a Product Life-Cycle Management System and/ or working with an ERP System is highly desirable.
  • Project Management.
  • Bill Of Materials Creation and Management.
  • A creative approach to problem-solving.
  • A keen eye for detail and a strong focus on quality.
  • Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A collaborative mindset, with a commitment to team success.
