Salary/Rate:
£35,000 - £45,000/annum

The role holder will be responsible for design and development of new product introductions and driving continuous improvement through current processes.

Description

  • Create, configure and develop Tool & Die Designs, and manufacturing processes
  • Optimize current Designs and processes to meet customer and internal requirements
  • Provide estimates regarding Billet sizes
  • Modeling & drafting of tools, dies, fixtures & gauging models and associated
  • Provision of machining profiles, edge milling, wire erosion path
  • Creation of projector layouts.
  • Proofing of Processes
  • Analysis of Capability Data
  • Assist with equipment selection and support implementation of new equipment
  • Search for best practices and innovative solutions which could improve production and quality
  • Forge Subject Matter Expert for PPAP & FAIR processes
  • Maintenance of Forge Engineering Data g.
    • Drawing/ Model revision, and associated change control
    • Inspection files, and associated change control
    • FMEA

Profile

  • Forging Knowledge
  • Surface Modelling in Siemens NX
  • Orthopaedic/ Aerospace project knowledge
  • Understanding and application of APQP and PPAP Processes
  • Customer focus driven (both Internal and External customers)
  • Demonstrated ability to read product drawings
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills
  • Excellent communication skills and self-motivated
  • Comfortable working to challenging time lines
  • Problem solver
