Join one of the biggest road projects in Norway's history!

The public-private contract (PPP) includes the financing, design, construction, operation and maintenance of a 9.4 kilometer four-lane highway, located in the Norwegian county of Vestland. The project aims to improve travel between Bergen and the island of Sotra on the west coast. The construction includes the construction of two twin tunnels of 4.6 kilometers in length and a four-lane bridge of about 900 meters. The new road system will have a space dedicated to public transportation, as well as access for pedestrians and bicycles. In addition, the project includes the construction of three smaller bridges.

IMPORTANT

The purpose of this role is to is to ensure that all of a company’s services and activities meet and maintain set standards. As a quality manager, you’ll carry out inspections and keep detailed records as evidence that work is of the highest possible quality.

JOB DESCRIPTION

  • Using quality assurance software to analyse and improve standards
  • Reviewing policies and planning how to improve quality management systems
  • Inspecting and testing products and production processes
  • Measuring performance and recommending improvements
  • Making sure policies and procedures meet national and international quality standards
  • Assessing the effectiveness of changes to processes or production
  • Managing a team of quality control technicians
  • Developing company quality procedures, standards, and specifications
  • Coordinating activity required to meet quality standards
  • Conducting internal audits and inspections
  • Presenting project proposals to clients
  • Discussing materials with suppliers
  • Writing management and technical reports
  • Overseeing budgets
  • Collecting and sharing statistics
  • Following legal regulations
  • Working on-site and in an office.
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements and all relevant Company and Joint Venture policies and processes.
  • Demonstrate a personal commitment to the safety and health framework, policies and management system requirements and expectations;

Relevant candidates MUST have the following:

  • Awareness of business management
  • Strong communication skills
  • Analytical thinking abilities
  • Project management/leadership skills
  • Good mathematical knowledge.
