Estimator - Prototype Co-Ordination Manager

Location: Loughborough

Salary: up to £40k

The Role

Due to internal promotion, my client is looking for a Prototype Co-Ordination Manager to join the team.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Reporting to Operations Director

• Managing all front-end enquiries of prototyping and ensuring external and internal customers are serviced correctly.

• Working with internal prototype team and external suppliers to deliver an efficient prototype service

• Manage the lead-times and plan the prototype weekly schedule.

• Ordering and ensuring materials are available for prototyping, to work effectively to their daily schedules set.

• Liaising daily with design to ensure all the project details and drawings required to manufacture all required items are available

• Communicating to all sales and project management teams, so lead-times and quality controls are always maintained

The Candidate

• This would suit someone with a purchasing/estimating/planning background

• Must be able to understand technical drawings

• Experience using MRP/ERP systems

• Working knowledge of joinery, metal and plastic fabrication would be advantageous

• Must have management experience.

• Strong communication skills and problem-solving abilities.
