Overview

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Wind Asset Manager to join a leading player in renewable energy with a substantial portfolio of assets across Europe. Based in Galway, Ireland, the successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance and management of wind farms in the region.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform regular windfarm performance monitoring, tracking production, alarms, and failures.
  • Identify and implement solutions to technical problems to enhance production and asset performance.
  • Ensure windfarms operate in compliance with contractual obligations of O&M contractors.
  • Manage and initiate any claims against contractors or manufacturers, if necessary.
  • Oversee contracts and various agreements for assigned windfarms.
  • Issue letters as required in relation to contractual breaches or issues.
  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards through managing safety inductions, contractors, conducting regular HSE reviews, and compliance checks.
  • Manage competitive tender processes in line with internal policies.
  • Provide technical and commercial management of subcontractors.
  • Complete monthly reports, including production, availability, and outage assessments as necessary.
  • Liaise and maintain relationships with local stakeholders, landowners, residents, and authorities.
Experience and Qualifications
  • Qualification in Engineering or equivalent technical field.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience in windfarm operations/management.
  • Excellent team player with proven ability to motivate others.
  • Strong stakeholder relationship-building skills.
  • Proficient in MS Office with knowledge of SCADA systems.
  • Proven commercial and contractual experience.
  • Full, clean driver’s licence (category B).
