Meridian Business Support is recruiting for a permanent Mechanical Supervisor to start ASAP at a static secure government facility based near Abingdon, Oxfordshire.

This is a permanent, full time position working to a 4 on 4 off shift pattern – 8am – 8pm.
This will include some weekend working.

£(phone number removed) per annum salary + 25 days paid annual leave + 8 Bank Holidays + company benefits package, training and career progression available.

Overtime at x1.5 and x2 is also available to maximise earnings.
 
Job Purpose

• Co-ordinate and manage the shift pattern Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM), Reactive Maintenance and extra works including emergencies in accordance with the contract requirements.
• Provide the first line support for Building & Facilities Maintenance Group (B&FM)
• Provide support to the administration / helpdesk team as appropriate
• Support a Centre of Excellence delivery across all Shift activities.
• Review RAMS and arrange access where required.
• Provide Leadership and technical guidance to the team,
• Ensure works are programmed and planned to achieve 100% Statutory Compliance

The knowledge, skills, qualifications and experience relevant to the position are:

• Level 3 qualification in Plumbing or similar related mechanical discipline
• Legionella awareness
• Understanding of water quality regulations
• High level of willingness with a “can do” attitude
• Good Communication Skills, with the ability to ‘be in touch’ at all levels
• Able to make decisions that will support the aims and objects of the contract in supporting the Client’s objectives
• Good Literacy
• Good PC Skills
• Health and Safety Training
• Experience in computer PPM management systems
