TEXO Recruitment are delighted to be representing our external client, a leading provider of equipment rental solutions, advanced underwater technologies, and support services.

Our client is recruiting for an Offshore Survey Technician on a full-time, permanent basis onsite in WesthillAberdeenshire.

The successful applicant will be a key technical resource in our clients Asset Integrity team, responsible for working alongside other senior technicians to help ensure the smooth running of the workshop and providing technical support to clients.

Will also be involved in the development of new products and services, and will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology. 

Daily Duties and Responsibilities: 

  • Testing, servicing, maintaining, and repairing a broad range of subsea, survey, and hydrographic equipment.
  • Ensuring all equipment is prepared, tested, labelled, identified, stored safely, calibrated and packaged appropriately before delivery.
  • Interpreting and reading technical diagrams and manuals
  • Maintaining and completing work orders and customer records 
  • Carrying out electrical safety tests as required by regulations.
  • Documenting any missing/damaged equipment.
  • Adhering to the stock control system used for spares and consumables, reporting any shortages or issues to the Storeman.
  • Ensuring that test equipment used during measurement and calibration is within calibration.
  • Completing Customer records as required.
  • Completing export details as required.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • HNC/HND/Degree in Electronic/Electrical Engineering/ other technical discipline and/or equivalent industry experience
  • Track record of experience in a Technician/Engineering role undertaking repair, maintenance and testing of electronic equipment, preferably in a subsea environment
  • Extensive knowledge of subsea equipment
  • Problem-solving capabilities
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
