Due to a retirement within the company our client is looking to recruit a Project Engineer. The company designs, manufactures and installs equipment used predominantly within the electrical power and distribution industry developing noise solutions such as doors, screens and enclosures. The company are keen to recruit a bright, driven individual and will support them in gaining further qualifications to develop their career.

Duties:

• Support the Project Managers in the management of site works within the agreed contract period
• Ensure the company's Health and Safety and Environmental policies are adhered to
• Programme work to ensure labour, plant, materials and sub-contractors are available when required
• Take off material quantities and expedite material deliveries as required
• Place all required purchase orders with suppliers
• Maintain the project files including weekly diary, method statements, delivery tickets, work sheets,
• Continually seek to improve all aspects of quality and service
• Make the most efficient use of resources at available for plant and materials
• Liaise with internal staff, subcontractors and clients
• Achieve the highest possible degree of Client interface and satisfaction
• Occasionally will be required to travel to sites, clients, sub-contractors or suppliers which may require staying away overnight.

Experience:

• Qualified to HNC or degree level in an engineering subject
• Some experience of working in a project engineering environment.
• Experience of sheet metal fabrication or steel erecting would be preferable
• SSSTS or SMSTS preferred
• Able to utilise MS Office suite essential
• Own transport is essential
