We are currently looking for and experienced Manufacturing Line Manager to join one of our clients on a permanent basis.

The company is a world leader in the manufacture, modification and servicing of specialist products for the rail industry.

Based in their purpose-built premises in Wiltshire the role will involve overseeing all aspects of the manufacturing process at one of the company’s sites and work closely with the business managers to develop growth.

The main duties of this Manufacturing Line Managers role will include the following: -

• Full financial responsibility for profit & loss for the division
• Delivering KPIs (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, People).
• Motivating employees by being supportive and leading from the front (effective leadership).
• Deliver KPIs (Quality, Cost, Delivery, Safety, People).
• Achieve and improve safe working practices.
• Manage the Customers expectations.
• Accountability for front-line process fault and problem solving.
• Manage capacity and resource constraints.
• Manage sales / order bank for relevant Business Stream.
• Work with the supply chain and pro-actively eliminate any potential risks.

The successful candidate will have a proven track record in a similar role and be qualified to a minimum of HNC/HND in an  engineering discipline and/or a degree or HND in Operations Management.  In addition a background in lean/continuous improvement manufacturing management would be desirable with some experience in Quality/Technical/Operations.  It is essential that applicants have professional experience within a manufacturing environment.

Applicants will also need to have some if not all of the following:-

• Experience of SAP or similar MRP System.
• An all-round business approach with the vision to see opportunities for continued growth.
• Strong people management skills. Self-motivated.
• Building relationships with External and Internal Customers.
