District Electrical Engineer

Up to £36,000 per annum plus van, all local work
We recruiting for a leading contractor to recruit an electrical engineer to work on large scale district energy schemes, in and around Birmingham City Centre. This is a permanent position paying up to £36,000, and will suit someone that wants to work mobile but be based locally in Birmingham.
The electrician will maintain, and repair electrical equipment and parts, such as control panels. This position requires extensive knowledge of electrical components as well as electrical safety codes and regulations. You will be expected to understand and make decisions based on technical documents, such as blueprints, schematics, or instructions. Strong communication skills are a necessary part of this position.
Main duties will include (but not limited to)
- Carry out the defined planned maintenance regime for all contractual obligations.
- Carry out repairs, reactive maintenance and minor installation works as instructed on plant.
- Attend, diagnose and repair faults having due regard to customer care in this specific environment
- Complete the relevant paperwork and report diligently, through IT based Asset Management Applications.
- Any other relevant duties that may be required
- Knowledge of 3 phase pumps 15- 25 KW is highly advantages for this role
- Monitoring of BMS systems
The ideal candidate will be a fully qualified electrician, with NVQ Level 3 electrical qualification and 18th edition regs. You must have a driving licence and be able to join the on call rota (1 week in 4)
