Are you a Calibration Engineer with a keen interest in shaping the future of mobility? We are seeking a powertrain Calibration Engineer to join a dynamic team, dedicated to pioneering new technologies within hybrid, fuel cell, and automotive development sectors.

In this role, you will work closely with customers to refine and enhance their powertrains and vehicle programs. Your expertise will be crucial in driving development, testing, and ensuring the safe operation of these advanced systems.
 
Your responsibilities as a Calibration Engineer:
 
  • Drive powertrain development projects, encompassing internal and customer products for various powertrain concepts.
  • Execute comprehensive data analysis, reporting findings to both customer teams and management.
  • Advance powertrain processes and calibrations utilising state-of-the-art calibration tools and methods.
  • Coordinate and conduct testing on powertrain/engine testbeds as well as in-vehicle assessments.
  • Oversee project milestones and contribute informed feedback to promote progress.
  • Facilitate internal presentations and engage actively in knowledge-sharing and professional development sessions.
 
Your current experience which will help you as a Calibration Engineer:
 
  • A degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.
  • Robust analytical skills and the capacity to provide clear, data-supported technical recommendations across various engineering disciplines.
  • A thorough comprehension of gasoline and diesel engine performance, exhaust after treatment systems, and insight into future industry directions.
  • An autonomous approach to tasks with the initiative to seek necessary information and support from various engineering groups.
  • Efficient communication of technical details, both in writing and orally, with internal teams, customers, and suppliers.
  • Adaptability to engage with multiple projects and willingness to travel as required.
 
What will set you apart as a Calibration Engineer:
 
  • Experience in electrification, such as hybrid calibration, battery, and fuel cell technology.
  • Proficiency in engine software, calibration development processes, and tools like ETAS Inca, ATI Vision.
  • Understanding of functional safety in relation to function definition and calibration.
  • Expertise in engine test cell operations, Design of Experiments (DoE) testing, and data acquisition.
  • Familiarity with calibration and data analysis tools (e.g. Concerto, CANape, CAMEO, DIAdem).
  • Knowledge of powertrain simulation methods and tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink, CRUISE™ M) and experience with virtual development and validation techniques.
