A market leader within the manufacture of heat exchangers, cooling systems and engine coolers is seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing company. Based in Edgware, North London, you will benefit from a starting salary of upto £40,000 (depending on experience) and 25 days' holiday (plus bank holidays).

As Mechanical Design Engineer you will be responsible for:

  • Design and development of new and existing products.
  • Produce high detailed drawings for fabrication and assembly.
  • Make estimations and costing parameters for the design budget.
  • Review and oversea the manufacturing of designs and creating prototypes.
  • Project based activities, working individually and frequently as part of a team across the company.

To be a successful Mechanical Design Engineer you will have:

  • Experience as a Design Engineer or Mechanical Design Engineer.
  • Qualified to degree level in either design engineering, mechanical engineering, product design, industrial design, or related field, master's degree in engineering or related field.
  • Experience in sheet metal, piping, and injection moulding.
  • 2-3 years' experience in a similar role.
  • 3D CAD (such as CREO, Solidworks, solid-works).

  • £38,000 to £40,000 per annum.
