Senior/Principal Civil Engineer - Design

Manchester

Salary : up to £60,000 – Depends On Experience

A multi-disciplined engineering consultancy client of mine are looking for a Senior/Principal civil engineer to join them in their Manchester office as an inhouse lead. They are part of a huge international engineering consultancy that have over 5000 employees globally.

There are 18 people in the office which is split between civils and structures. As the civil engineer you will be operating as a leader as you will be joining two external civil contractors in the office. The business is looking to grow more of an inhouse civils team so you will be at the forefront of growing that team around you whilst having the opportunity to progress to manager level.

The projects they work on are commercial high rise structural building as well as residential developments.

They are looking for someone who can come in as an all-rounder and hit the ground running and bring in new client business!

Technically wise they are looking for someone who has a strong background in drainage and highways design.

Senior civil engineer requirements/role:

-          Knowledge and understanding of civil engineering and infrastructure and design.

-          A reliable and enthusiastic individual with a ‘hands-on’ approach to projects.

-          Experience in completing designs for External works and levels, S104 drainage agreements and S38/S278 Highways agreements among other Section agreements on a variety of schemes.

-          Good working knowledge of Civil 3D, Microdrainage, PDS and AutoCAD.
