Job Description:
We are seeking a dynamic individual to join our engineering team as a Control Systems Engineer. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in enhancing our existing systems while maintaining the highest standards of safety for our diverse client base. You will have the opportunity to contribute to both new project development and ongoing support for our existing clients, with involvement in the full project life cycle.
Control Systems Engineer Main Duties:
- Designing, developing, and implementing control systems
- Testing and verifying PLC, HMI, and SCADA software, including safety-related software (Siemens TIA, Rockwell Studio 5000 etc)
- Authoring and reviewing system design documentation, including technical reports and participation in Design Reviews
- Leading or supporting testing and commissioning activities
- Participating in the Control Systems and Automation 24x7 standby rota, offering key client support outside of regular hours.

Essential Candidate Requirements:
- Experience in software design and support of PLC/HMI or DCS-based control systems
- Knowledge of control and safety system applications, preferably in industries such as petrochemical or pharmaceutical
- Familiarity with essential documentation for PLM (SDS, FDS, IO lists, etc.)
- Proficiency in reading electrical diagrams
- Networking knowledge, including ProfiNET, Modbus TCP, SNMP, etc.
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong Microsoft Office skills
- Team player with a proactive attitude
- Ability to multitask and prioritize workload
- Full permit to work in the UK
Advantageous Knowledge/Experience:
- Membership in a professional association, e.g., TÜV
- Understanding of cyber-security/OT security requirements in control systems
- Experience in systems integration
- Ability to generate Risk Assessments
