We are seeking a Senior Field Service Engineer to join a national market leader in the Building Management Systems industry & Energy Optimisation!

This is a Field Service based role, within the South East.

The Role:

In this position, your duties will encompass executing planned preventive maintenance, overseeing the commissioning of small projects, and promptly responding to reactive service calls across diverse BMS systems. Collaboration within a team environment is essential, yet you'll also be adept at independent work when needed. Additionally, you might oversee junior engineers, ensuring their productivity and safety onsite. As a member of the service and commissioning team, fostering the exchange of technical expertise among colleagues is valued, alongside seeking assistance from the team when required.

The ideal candidate will:

  • Monitor emails daily for instructions, perform backups of software and strategy files, update the server with backup data, and document electrical LAN maps as needed.
  • Develop and implement planned preventive maintenance (PPM) planners, maintain and service controls equipment, and attend callouts and breakdowns according to company SLAs.
  • Provide daily updates to the line manager and prepare detailed site reports, fostering strong client relationships and delivering thorough site surveys with recommendations.
  • Commission various DDC control systems, manage subcontractors, and ensure compliance with health and safety regulations. Maintain project documentation, procure correct controls equipment, and create software, wiring, commissioning schedules, and O&M documentation.
  • Complete weekly timesheets and fulfill any other assigned duties.

Technical expertise includes:

  • Experience with at least one of the following systems: Trend, Tridium, Schneider, Siemens, ALC.
  • Familiarity with Niagara-based systems.
  • Ability to accurately interpret and modify existing control strategies in BMS systems.
  • Knowledgeable in HVAC systems.
  • Electrically competent.

Due to the nature of this role, you must possess a full UK driving licence.
