We are seeking a Project Sales Manager to join a national market leader in the Building Management Systems industry & Energy Optimisation, in Leeds!

The Role

To engage with current clients while also pursuing new customer prospects, projects, and significant upgrade opportunities across various sectors including end users, public entities, main contractors, and mechanical and electrical contractors in the Northern (Leeds) region. The objective is to secure projects that not only meet the minimum margin requirements but also uphold profitability standards and align with the business's expectations. Additionally, providing technical sales expertise and support to meet sales targets within the region

The ideal candidate will:

  • Targeting consultants, mechanical and electrical contractors, and end users in the Northern region to secure Building Management System (BMS) projects, upgrades, and energy works.
  • Advocating for and promoting the brand, comprehending all sales propositions.
  • Cultivating and expanding relationships with consultants and end users through technical presentations showcasing integrated systems and building management products.
  • Generating quotations based on drawings and specifications for projects valued up to £500k.
  • Providing regular updates, monthly reports on sales activities, and order forecasts to the Regional Manager.
  • Maintaining a customer-centric approach, delivering exceptional customer service with a positive and proactive attitude.
  • Acting in a manner that consistently enhances business performance.
  • Establishing and nurturing long-term relationships with key contacts and decision-makers, ensuring readiness for additional requirements.
  • Scheduling regular communication with clients via phone and email.
  • Collaborating with the sales and projects teams to ensure clear objectives are set to secure business from competitors.

Skills Required;

  • Candidates should ideally have a minimum of three years’ experience in the BMS Industry.
  • Ideally have an in-depth product knowledge of estimating, bid management, Building Management Systems.
  • Have a good understanding of the Region and existing relationships with contractors, end users and consultants in the area. 

Due to the nature of this role, you must possess a full UK driving licence.
