Bench Joiner (Furniture Assembler/Wood Working)

Dewsbury

£12 - £15 Per hour DOE + Overtime Paid at premium (x1.5) + 20 Days Holiday + Bank Holidays (increases with time served) + Free Tea and Coffee + Free Parking

Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm (Some flexibility required). Friday, 8am to 4pm. 39.25 hour per week. 

Bench Joiner required for a fast-growing family-owned furniture manufacturing company offering long term job security.

The Bench Joiner Role:

• Operating and navigation company ERP system to review drawings, log times and review task details.
• Working within health and safety SOPs.
• Lifting and moving heavy items around the workshop.
• Working individually and within a team.
• Using Pallets trucks to safely move items around the workshop.

The Successful Bench Joiner:

• You will have previous experience using basic hand tools such as screwdrivers, drills sanders and trimmers.
• Some experience of using workshop machinery such as edge banders, saws and/or pillars drills is required.
• You will have a good working knowledge of various materials.
• Those with experience in laminating, edging panels, working with traditional woodworking machinery, or following drawings will be at an advantage.
• Those with experience of furniture assembly or shopfitting will be at an advantage also.
• Those from assembly-based roles will be considered, but ideally you will have previous woodworking experience.
