What you need to know about the role
Working in the Energy Department at British Steel this role supports all areas with both technical advice and practical work on all process gas systems, Combustion efficiency, Purging procedures, Process improvements and training where required.
Reporting to the Lead Process Fuel Engineer and alongside other Process Fuel Engineers for the alternate areas of both Scunthorpe and our North East Plants.
Working alongside Mechanical, Structural and EC+I Engineers to achieve maintenance plans and breakdown rectification.
Provide safety guidance for work activities including Confined Space, Excavation, Hot Work, Work on or near gas mains etc.
What we need to know about you
Ideally Qualified HNC/ONC level in a Chemical / Process Engineering or STEM Discipline.
A basic understanding of PHR’s/Hazard Studies, LOPA’s and general process safety principles.
Comfortable working ‘hands on’ in the field and also in an office environment. SAP experience an advantage
