Control Systems Engineer

BRIEF OVERVIEW
- Role: Control Systems Engineer
- Location: Oxfordshire
- Role type: Permanent
- Salary: £50,000
- Working type: Hybrid working (3 days on-site, 2 days working from home)

Recruit 12 has an exciting opportunity for a Control Systems Engineer to work with an innovative engineering business, with the goal to bring electric and sustainable technology to life.

You'll be supporting the growth ambitions of the business over the coming years, which is an exciting period for the team right now, with lots of long-term growth and opportunity to progress.

The purpose of this role is to provide control design capabilities to the control systems team, working on various projects in the field of advanced engineering, automotive, motorsport, off-highway, etc.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Specify and develop control strategies
- Create application software architecture
- Create and implement software requirements in MATLAB/Simulink
- Ensure the software developed meets project requirements
- Support ISO26262 activities
- Create test cases and take part in MIL/SIL testing
- Support HIL testing and analysis

REQUIRED SKILLS
- Strong with controls/application software development
- MATLAB/Simulink/Stateflow & automatic code generation
- Strong understanding of model based development
- Safety critical project exposure (such as automotive, motorsport, aerospace, etc)
- Project exposure such as HV components/contactor, Batteries (BMS), Chargers, DC-DC Converters or similar

DESIRABLE (NOT ESSENTIAL)
- AUTOSAR knowledge
- ISO26262 knowledge
- Embedded C programming knowledge
- CANape/CANoe/CANalyzer experience
- MATLAB scripting
- Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
