£35,000 - £36,500/annum

Our client, a highly established Building Services company, is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join their stable team. As an Electrical Shift Engineer, you will be responsible for delivering a strategic-based building maintenance, repair, and facilities service across the site.

As an Electrical Shift Engineer, your duties will include:

  • Leading and managing the team(s) within your area of responsibility to deliver a highly effective, efficient and customer-focused technical service delivery.
  • Building strong, credible relationships with the clients' leadership teams, Heads of Departments, and establishing steady lines of communication to work collaboratively and deliver high standards of service across the estate.
  • Ensuring statutory & code compliance of all sites, ensuring all sites remain compliant and are operating to the latest technical and health and safety guidance.
  • Ensuring planned preventative maintenance (PPM) is carried out and ensuring all PPM schedules are utilized and the appropriate document controls are in place and up to date.
  • Investigating and reporting on major operational incidents.
  • Carrying out hands-on PPM and reactive maintenance across this landlord contract.

To be considered for this role, you should have one of:

  • BTEC / HND / HNC / ONC / Degree / Electrical Apprenticeship
  • City & Guilds 236 Parts one & two
  • City & Guilds 2360 Levels one and two
  • City & Guilds 2367 part 1 & 2368 part 2
  • City & Guilds 2330 Levels two and three
  • City & Guilds 2357 Levels two and three
  • Any subsequent City & Guilds course used to replace 2357.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including UPS, generators, and switchgear
  • Experience with control systems, such as BMS, EPMS, and SCADA
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work well under pressure.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

Preferred qualifications / experience

  • High Voltage competent
  • Health and Safety certified (IOSH or NEBOSH)
  • Relevant experience in a data centre environment or a similar critical environment
